I just received my certificate in Wine and Spirits by Academie du Vin, you may call me Madster (Madelyne and Master, so funny) of Wine.
Let me tell you something about this course. It's amazing. The course instructors are not only very professional and great sommeliers, but they are also hilarious. I was surprised how much I learned in just one month.
Besides learning a million interesting things about wine and tasting great wines, I also learnd how to drink wine, gin, rum and tequila at 8:15 in the morning. The course began at 8 on saturday morning, not even kidding a little. Smelling aromas and tasting wine at 8 am is not a piece of cake, especially when you were out and about in the city having a few Xsprützte Wisse (white wine mixed with either soda or mineral water and slices of oranges, lemons) just a few hours before. So not only am I proud owner of a wine certificate but I am also a proud owner of a stomach made out of steel. It's like I have a six pack stomach, but on the inside of my body. Perfect conditions for a successfull wine career. Cheers.
