The Winter Fancy Food Show is the West Coast's largets food & beverage trade show, where exhibitors represent the latest in speciality food & drinks from across the U.S. and 35 countires. Let me tell you, it's ginormous. Thank God they developed an app so you could acutally filter yourself through this slightly more sophisticated version of costco.
My friend Hailey, who works for a furniture company was gracious enough to come with me (obviously she did not join me for the free food & drink). At one point she got a call from a friend asking her where she was. She answered in a very short & brisk way: "I am in Candyland and I'm lost in the gum drop forest." PERFECTION.
All in all this tradeshow was a success. Besides stuffing our faces with 100'00 different blue cheeses, 20'000 varietals of salami slices, overdosing on truffle chocolate, retrying the hard cheese section, revisiting the vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, local, home-made/ crafted granola-bar-area and topping it off with some salty pho soups we also found some pretty cool new products which are mentioned right about here:
D'Vine Crush: Natural and sustainable bars & bites made from the wine crush and mirror the flavor notes of a particular varietal like Pinot Noir or the citrus notes of a Chardonnay.
Just Jan's: Fruit spreads, marmalades & curds packed with fresh & pure fruit flavor.
Nourish Snacks: Healthy snack combo's perfectly portioned.
Routes de Terre: Whole truffles and pure truffle juice in cans
The Owl's Brew: Different teas crafted for cocktails (stay tuned for a mix with wine)
